Gayle Hall Carley, a lifelong resident of Ward 5, a proud product of DC Public School system; Langdon Elementary, Taft Junior High and Calvin Coolidge Senior High. She went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. While serving in the United States Army, Carley earned numerous awards and recognition; Army Commendation (3), Army Achievement, Good Conduct (5), National Defense, Army Service (5), Overseas, and Air Assault wings (Over 25 jumps).
After serving in the U.S. Army, Carley returned to the DC area, and dedicated her time to serving the community; as Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) 5B01, Vice Chairperson for Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 5B Board, and advocate. Carley's leadership skills are proven to be proactive whenever residents are faced with challenges; Advocating for constituents, disabled, elderly, homeless, hungry, mentally ill, and veterans.
Gayle Hall Carley has the necessary qualities: duty, honor, integrity, loyalty, and selfless-service to serve as our next Ward 5 City Council. She invites you to join the campaign to bring the focus of city government efforts to benefit Ward 5 residents. Now is the time to re-energize voter participation and involvement for the benefit of our citizenry.
